A step towards to long term health

For the past 5 years, I’ve been studying about Nutrition, Health and Wellness. In the experience that ive gained as a nutritionist in these years is that the only answer to people’s weight and health related questions is given as a 4 letter word, “D-I-E-T” or, some may also say, ‘eat anything, as long as you workout! Even if it is for 15 minutes’
According to me, the word DIET stands for:
E: Evil for a
Let us take an example that everyone would relate with.
All of us have seen and loved Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, in which, we all loved the character played by Ranbir Kapoor (Bunny). He said in the movie, and I quote, “Shaadi is like Dal Chawal for the rest of your life till you die”, and then he goes abroad for work where he has a lot of, ‘FLINGS’. But he finally finds peace when he comes back, chooses to stay with Naina (Deepika Padukone) and is, ‘Ready to eat Dal Chawal for the rest of his life’.
Now, let us assume, ‘Dal Chawal’ is what we call our ‘lifestyle’ and all the ‘fad diets and crash diets or detoxes’ are the ‘flings’. So, putting it up in a simple sentence; As much as we run after flings we all end up settling down with Dal Chawal.
So, why not make dal chawal our permanent fling? By this way, all the goals are achievable. Also, as short termed as flings are, so are the results gained from fads and crashes. Which is why, I believe we must build something that is permanent. By this not only our body, but also our mind would be at peace. If we make lifestyle changes, the results are permanent and do not reverse; as unlike flings, there is NO BREAKUP!
