Fats are of 2 types Bad fats and Good fats.


BAD FATS:

There are 2 types of bad fats:

Saturated fats and Trans fats.These fats are found in junk food,pork fat,butter,margarine etc.


➡️SATURATED FATS:

Most saturated fats are animal fats. They’re found in high-fat meats and dairy products.Doctors have linked higher saturated fat intakes with increased heart disease risks.It should be taken in small quantities.


🔵EXAMPLES:

WHOLE MILK,BEEF AND PORK FAT, TROPICAL OILS.


➡️TRANS FATS:


These are the worst kind of fats which must be avoided.These are found in hydrogenated oils just like saturated fats this increase LDL(bad cholestrol) and suppress HDL(good cholestrol).It is also linked to increased inflammation,strokes,diabetes.


🔵EXAMPLSES:

FRIED FOODS,BAKED FOOD, CRACKERS,MARGARINES.


➡️GOOD FATS:

These are unsaturated fats and are classified in 2 types monounsaturated and polyunsaturated.These items are usually liquid at room temperature.Also known as "heart healthy fat".


MONOUNSATURATED FATS:


Eating foods that contain monounsaturated fat can improve your blood cholesterol level and decrease your risk of cardiovascular disease. 


🔵EXAMPLES: NUTS,PEANUT AND ALMOND BUTTER,AVOCADO.


POLYUNSATURATED FATS:

Polyunsaturated fats are known as “essential fats” because the body cannot make them and needs them from foods.

Plant-based foods and oils are the primary source of this fat. Like monounsaturated fat, polyunsaturated fat can decrease your risk of heart disease by lowering blood cholesterol levels.

WALNUTS, TOFU.
